Welcome to Able2 Pontefract Special Olympics
an Associate club of Special Olympics GB

Able2 Pontefract Special Olympics, formed in April 2009 is affiliated to Special Olympics GB.   Able2 Pontefract Special Olympics has been set up with the aim to increase participation in disability sport, offering coaching and competitive opportunities in sport for people with learning disabilities.   Able2 Pontefract Special Olympics also seek to raise the performance standards in all aspects of disability sport and promote an awareness of disability sport to the wider community.

Currently, we offer the following sports: swimming, boccia, new age kurling, table tennis, equestrian and athletics.
